What we collect

You can read the whole site without giving us anything. The only place you share data is when you post a comment. There you enter a display name and your comment text. We do not ask for your email address, phone number, or any account details, because there are no accounts on this site.

When you submit a comment, our server also records the IP address and the browser information (the user agent string) of the request. These are used only to fight spam and abuse. They are never shown publicly next to your comment.

How we use it

Your name and comment are shown on the page once the comment is approved. The IP address, browser information, and the number of links in a comment help us review submissions and block spam. That is the full extent of it. We do not build profiles, and we do not track you across other websites.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed for the site to work. These are a session cookie and a security token that protects forms from misuse. They are not used to advertise to you or to follow your activity. We do not use Google Analytics or any similar tracking service.

Spam protection

To keep comments clean, we use hidden form checks that catch automated bots. We may also use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy friendly check that confirms you are a real person without the puzzles of a normal captcha. When this check runs, Cloudflare processes the request in order to tell humans from bots.

How long we keep it

Approved comments stay on the site so the discussion remains useful for other readers. The IP address and browser information attached to a comment are kept only for as long as we need them to handle spam and abuse, after which they can be removed. If you ask us to delete your comment, we will remove it and the data tied to it.

Sharing your data

We do not sell or rent your data to anyone. We share it only with the service providers that run the site for us, such as our hosting provider and the spam check described above, and only so they can perform that job. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example a valid legal request from an authority in India.

Your choices

You can ask to see the comment data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Since we do not collect email addresses, the simplest way is to write to us with the details of the comment you posted. We will act on genuine requests within a reasonable time.

Children

This site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has posted personal details in a comment, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site grows, for example if we add new features. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Please check back from time to time.
